What you will do
- Develop benefit design and renewal strategies and create solutions for complex client issues.
- Partner with account management/client service teams on pre-renewal activities (RFP distribution, SPRs, open enrollment strategy) and post-renewal analysis.
- Own service scope definition, timelines, and ongoing renewal updates for client service teams.
- Maintain accountability for revenue and profitability for client accounts and projects; monitor scope, budget, timeliness, and client satisfaction.
- Oversee onboarding of new clients by coordinating implementation plans, teams, and timelines.
- Grow the book via cross-selling, cultivate relationships with clients and carriers, and stay current on insurance market changes and compliance requirements.
Requirements
- 7+ years of benefits consulting experience.
- Valid life and health insurance license.
- Practical knowledge of quoting processes and tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with database applications; ensure accurate client data in CRM.
- Up-to-date knowledge of Health Care Reform and health/ancillary insurance products.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong organizational skills and ability to manage workload in a fast-paced environment.
