What you will do

• Adjudicate assigned complex claims within given authority with minimal supervision.
• Draft complex technical coverage analyses and claim correspondence for the claims department.
• Lead litigation best practices and strategy, including attending and leading trials and mediations.
• Improve claim outcomes through investigation, negotiation, and alternative dispute resolution.
• Identify emerging exposures and claims trends; detect suspected fraudulent claims and coordinate with the special investigations unit.
• Accurately document claim files and review/analyze claim documentation and legal filings; mentor and train claims team members and underwriters as requested.

Requirements

• 10+ years of claims handling experience in General Liability & Bodily Injury.
• Expert knowledge of coverage within the team’s specialty or focus.
• Expert knowledge of litigation process and strong negotiation skills.
• Proven ability to positively affect highest severity claim outcomes through investigation and negotiation, including leading litigation.
• Proven track record of mentoring others.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; advanced analytical skills.
