HR Consultant (HR Advisory): Deliver comprehensive HR services as an HR sparring partner to functional/business heads, advising and coaching managers across the employee life-cycle with an accent on regulatory/statutory compliance, performance management, compensation processes, and handling staff issues. Focus on driving HR initiatives and internal projects while supporting talent management, succession planning, and recruitment decisions.

What you will do

  • Provide HR advisory to senior leadership on human capital matters and support people-related planning and decision-making.
  • Advise and coach line managers to ensure adherence to regulatory and statutory requirements across the employee life-cycle.
  • Support HR strategy implementation, including workforce management, succession planning, talent management, and low performer processes.
  • Manage recruitment activities: sourcing channels, assessment of shortlisted candidates, hiring approvals, and proposing hiring terms aligned with compensation philosophy and benchmarks.
  • Partner on performance management and compensation processes, including goal setting, reviews, calibration, PIP support, and compensation reviews.
  • Handle staff issues and disciplinary matters, including conducting fact-finding sessions, and lead or contribute to internal HR projects.

Requirements

  • 12–15 years of HR generalist experience, preferably in a banking environment.
  • Strong competence across HR functions such as recruitment, performance management, compensation, and employee relations.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements and HR best practices.
  • Proven ability to influence and engage stakeholders at different levels as an HR advisor.
  • Experience driving HR initiatives and branch/internal projects.
