Salary: $64,000–$107,000 per year

What you will do

• Own the full product design lifecycle, from early discohirify.global and ambiguity to shipping launched products.
• Execute UX and UI design, interactive prototyping, user research, and data visualization.
• Run discohirify.global workshops and alignment sessions, facilitating feedback with clients and users.
• Partner closely with engineering to ensure design QA and that shipped products reflect the intended craft.
• Develop and maintain robust design systems as a core competency.
• Integrate AI tools into the design workflow to expand patterns and enhance fluidity across design and code.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of relevant design experience with a track record of launching real products (0-to-1 and incremental).
• Must reside in and be authorized to work in Costa Rica without sponsorship.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate thinking and lead client meetings.
• High degree of self-direction, ownership, and comfort with ambiguity at design and business layers.
• Expertise in design systems thinking.
• Experience already integrating AI into professional design practice.

Nice to have

• Experience with IoT and connected products.
• Knowledge of React, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience designing for data-heavy or analytical products.
• Experience designing agentic or AI-driven products.
