Location: Must be based in or able to work from Portalegre, Portugal (Hybrid)

What you will do
- Develop efficient code for embedded devices, firmware, and middleware.
- Integrate APIs and test firmware, connectivity, and system performance.
- Manage container-based middleware and IoT platforms like ThingsBoard or IBM Maximo.
- Process and structure sensor data using SQL and PostgreSQL.
- Develop dashboards and reports through iterative validation with customers.
- Coach and mentor engineers on secure, highly available, and scalable software architecture.
Requirements
- Skilled in programming with Python or Java.
- Experience with microcontrollers, sensors, actuators, and basic electronics.
- Knowledge of IoT networking protocols such as MQTT, HTTP, and LoRaWAN.
- Ability to manage devices and data on IoT platforms.
- Strong communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to stakeholders.
- Must be based in or able to work from Portalegre, Portugal.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Experience with Google partner solutions like Mapify or City as a Platform.
