Senior DevOps Engineer

TL;DR

Senior DevOps Engineer (Azure/Terraform): Ownership of Azure cloud infrastructure with an accent on Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes (AKS) and serverless (Azure Functions) operations. Focus on scaling platform reliability, building CI/CD pipelines, and expanding infrastructure for MLOps in Azure while ensuring smooth deployments for GraphQL-based APIs.

Location: Remote (Poland, Kraków) — on-site at Wielicka 30 in Kraków once per quarter.

What you will do

• Manage, maintain, and scale Azure cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
• Support and optimize containerized workloads on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and serverless deployments via Azure Functions.
• Lead infrastructure setup for an upcoming MLOps initiative (provisioning services for training and deploying ML models in Azure).
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, infrastructure provisioning, and application deployment.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to support GraphQL APIs, ensuring high availability and reliable service routing.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting; mentor engineers and enforce DevOps and security best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a DevOps, Cloud, or Site Reliability Engineer.
• Very good English.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Strong Terraform experience, including managing state, writing custom modules, and managing environments entirely through code.
• Solid background with Kubernetes (AKS) and serverless architectures (Azure Functions).
• Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash.

Nice to have

• Experience with MLOps concepts/tools (e.g., Azure Machine Learning, MLflow, compute management for model training).
• Experience with GraphQL and monitoring/routing of GraphQL APIs.
• Experience with GitOps tools like ArgoCD or Flux.
• Familiarity with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, etc.).
