TL;DR

Business Development Representative (Sales): Outreach to target accounts and inbound/marketing qualified leads to gather sales intelligence and handle early-stage opportunities with an accent on lead qualification, appointment setting, and CRM accuracy. Focus on building prospect cadences with sales automation and coordinating discovery calls with the sales team.

Location: Remote based in the US (located in the Kansas City Metro area)

Salary: $50,000 - $65,000 annually

What you will do

  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities through outbound and inbound prospecting.
  • Meet monthly and quarterly targets for lead generation and appointment setting.
  • Run sales development outreach using email, phone, and social drips with sales automation to build prospect cadences.
  • Qualify prospects and schedule appointments for the team’s discovery calls.
  • Research accounts and prospects, add contacts to Salesforce, and maintain accurate CRM records.
  • Support sales and marketing campaigns and assist with sales materials and presentations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to achieve goals and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn sales fundamentals and customer service practices.
  • Ability to travel 10-15%.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with CRM software.
  • Experience with Outreach, LinkedIn, Demand Base, and Marketo.
