TL;DR

Principal Engineer (Fintech): Shaping the long-term technical direction of a large-scale embedded finance platform with an accent on reliability, performance, and architectural scalability. Focus on leading cross-team initiatives, optimizing distributed microservices, and driving engineering excellence across the organization.

Location: Must be based in or able to work from the Tel Aviv office (Hybrid)

What you will do

  • Partner with engineering teams to lead complex, cross-team technical initiatives.
  • Contribute hands-on to critical infrastructure, reliability, and security improvements.
  • Identify and drive long-term technical opporthirify.globalies to enhance platform quality and operational health.
  • Design and implement scalable solutions for core platform challenges.
  • Support the evolution of engineering practices and architectural standards.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience designing and operating large-scale distributed systems in microservices environments.
  • Strong understanding of production systems, including observability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working across disciplines.
  • Proven ability to apply sound engineering judgment to complex technical problems.
  • Experience with cloud-based infrastructure.

Nice to have

  • Experience in a Principal Engineer role at a large-scale SaaS company.
  • Familiarity with AWS and Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency in Scala and functional programming ecosystems (ZIO, Cats, Scalaz).
  • Knowledge of event-driven architectures, Event Sourcing, CQRS, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
  • Experience with workflow orchestration frameworks like Temporal or Cadence.
