TL;DR

Business Development Consultant (Automotive): Driving growth through customer acquisition and relationship management within the automotive retail sector with an accent on consultative selling and product adoption. Focus on expanding the PayLater product portfolio, conducting account reviews, and delivering on-site training to automotive dealerships across the East of England.

Location: Must be based in the East of England (ideally Peterborough, Nottingham, or Milton Keynes). The role is hybrid, requiring 2 days per week visiting customer sites and 1 day per month in the office.

What you will do

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing automotive retail customers.
  • Identify and acquire new dealership partners to expand the market presence.
  • Conduct regular account reviews to drive engagement and performance metrics.
  • Deliver on-site training and support to ensure successful product onboarding.
  • Communicate the value proposition of the PayLater product effectively to stakeholders.
  • Generate leads and support account activation strategies.

Requirements

  • Must have the right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available).
  • Experience in consultative selling and managing full sales lifecycles.
  • Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen.
  • Confidence in presenting and educating customers on new products.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and data-driven decision-making.
  • Automotive experience within franchised dealerships.
  • Full, clean driving licence.
