What you will do

• Interface with customers, product management, and hardware engineers to create innovative network systems features.
• Architect, design, and develop features using C, C++, and Python.
• Build automated tests and test infrastructure to ensure feature quality and stability.
• Collaborate with hardware and manufacturing teams to bring new products to market.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers within the software development environment.
• Analyze and mitigate complex problems in customer networks in collaboration with Support Engineers.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering with 8+ years experience, MS with 6+ years, or PhD with 3+ years.
• Expert knowledge of C or C++ and Python.
• Proficiency with UNIX or Linux operating systems.
• Hands-on experience in designing and developing hardware device drivers or system management utilities.
• Applied understanding of software engineering principles and strong troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to design solutions and implement features independently within small teams.

Nice to have

• Understanding of IP networking or distributed systems.
• Experience working with low-level hardware components.
