Location: Hybrid: Must be based in San Mateo, California (Tuesday - Thursday in office)

Salary: USD 330,000 - 405,000 yearly

What you will do

  • Lead and mentor a global team of commercial attorneys overseeing SaaS agreements, including MSAs, DPAs, and partnership contracts.
  • Direct high-stakes negotiations with external parties to protect company interests and drive deal closure.
  • Partner with Sales, Finance, Product, and Engineering to integrate legal considerations into strategic business decisions.
  • Scale legal operations by streamlining contract workflows and implementing automated processes to increase velocity.
  • Ensure global product compliance and maintain alignment with international privacy and data protection regulations.
  • Provide strategic legal advice on commercial disputes, M&A, and cybersecurity incidents.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited U.S. law school and active state bar membership in good standing.
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant legal experience, including in-house roles at technology companies supporting sales organizations.
  • Proven experience recruiting, managing, and mentoring a global team of legal professionals.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to make risk-based decisions quickly in ambiguous environments.
  • Expertise in structuring and negotiating commercial transactions for SaaS business models.
