Counsel/Sr. Counsel, Intellectual Property (Entertainment): Providing strategic legal guidance on IP issues arising from content production, brand development, and global expansion with an accent on trademark and copyright clearance. Focus on managing prosecution and enforcement of IP assets and conducting due diligence for mergers and acquisitions.

Location: Hybrid (must be based in Universal City, California; minimum 4 days per week in office)

Salary: USD 140,000 - 200,000 yearly

What you will do

• Advise senior creative and business executives on trademark, copyright, and domain name matters for global brand launches and high-profile productions.
• Perform legal clearances for titles, trademarks, character names, and content-related assets.
• Manage the domestic and international prosecution and enforcement of trademarks and other IP assets.
• Conduct IP due diligence and integration for mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures.
• Collaborate with global colleagues on brand protection, including counterfeit takedowns and infringement claims.
• Handle domain name acquisitions and UDRP proceedings.

Requirements

• Member in good standing of the California State Bar (or registered as in-house counsel in California).
• 5+ years of experience for Counsel / 8+ years for Senior Counsel in trademark or IP law.
• Ability to work from the office at least four days per week.
