What you will do

• Develop and port Board Support Packages including boot loaders and Linux kernels.
• Modify device drivers, configuration files, and startup routines.
• Perform board bring-ups and hardware validation using debugging tools.
• Create custom utilities for hardware benchmarking and verification support.
• Conduct hardware/software unit level and functional integration tests.
• Develop multithreaded user space applications.

Requirements

• Must be based in Cedar Rapids, IA
• Deep knowledge of Linux device drivers, subsystems, and environment.
• Hands-on experience with board bring-up.
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming.
• Strong understanding of Linux OS internals, file systems, and memory management.
• Experience with Python and Shell scripting.

Nice to have

• Experience with JTAG hardware emulators.
• Familiarity with hardware debugging tools like Oscilloscopes and Logic Analyzers.
• Experience with kernel debugging tools such as ftrace.
• Proficiency in version control and code review tools like GIT, Subversion, and Gerrit.
