What you will do

• Partner with product, engineering, and ML teams to integrate localisation quality signals into the development cycle.
• Lead the refinement of AI translation pipelines, balancing automation with human workflows.
• Establish and maintain documentation for AI tooling, prompt libraries, and evaluation methodologies.
• Surface data-driven insights from evaluations to contribute to the overall localisation strategy.
• Collaborate with country teams to propagate learnings and optimize operational processes.
• Communicate team strategy and align it with broader organizational goals.

Requirements

• Must be based in London, UK or able to work from the London campus.
• Deep expertise in localisation frameworks and LLM evaluation for translation (GPT-4, Claude, Gemini, LLaMA).
• Familiarity with machine learning techniques like RAG and LoRA, and evaluation metrics like BLEU and COMET.
• Strong builder mindset with experience in scripting and automating workflows.
• Ability to document complex systems clearly for diverse audiences.
• Proven track record of managing initiatives in fast-paced, shifting environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with Smartling or other CAT tools.
• Understanding of product growth principles.
• Proficiency with SQL and data analysis.
• Tertiary education in linguistics, languages, or localisation.
• Multilingual proficiency.
