What you will do

• Develop software for automated data collection in collaboration with hardware and data science teams.
• Design and maintain robust hardware-software interfaces and low-level communication protocols.
• Build and manage cloud data infrastructure, databases, and server operations.
• Implement data security protocols and ensure GDPR compliance for clinical databases in partnership with hospitals.
• Collaborate with the Regulatory Affairs team to meet medical software standards like IEC 62304 and IEC 82304-1.
• Partner with the Product team to validate functional requirements and ensure solutions provide customer value.

Requirements

• MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecommunication/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of software development experience, ideally in industrial or hardware-adjacent environments.
• Proficiency in Python and working knowledge of at least two other languages (e.g., Rust, Go, C#, Svelte).
• Experience with full-stack development including REST API, gRPC, PostgreSQL, and Svelte or React.
• Solid knowledge of Linux server infrastructure, Docker, and Git version control.
• Experience with low-level communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, USB, GPIO) and diagnosing mixed HW/SW issues.
• Fluent English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience interfacing with autosamplers, fluidic handling elements, lasers, CCD/CMOS cameras, or ESP32 microcontrollers.
• Familiarity with medical device software standards such as IEC 62304 and IEC 82304-1.
