Fullstack Engineer (Java, React)

TL;DR

Fullstack Engineer (Java/React): Modernizing critical mission systems for DHS ICE by translating legacy system behaviors into clean, scalable software with an accent on platform-based architecture. Focus on developing backend services, APIs, and user-facing components while migrating to the Palantir platform.

Location: Fully Remote (EST hours). U.S. citizenship and an active Public Trust clearance are required

What you will do

• Design and develop full stack applications to modernize DHS ICE systems.
• Analyze legacy workflows to identify and implement mission-critical functionality.
• Build backend services, RESTful APIs, and integration layers.
• Develop user-facing components using modern frontend technologies.
• Support the full SDLC from analysis and design to deployment and maintenance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements and improve system behavior.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship and an active Public Trust clearance (no sponsorship available).
• 7+ years of experience in full stack software development.
• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with JavaScript, React, HTML, and CSS.
• Strong experience with relational databases and RESTful API design.
• Ability to work in ambiguous environments with poor documentation.

• Experience with legacy system modernization.
• Background supporting federal or mission-driven environments.
• Exposure to enterprise data platforms and large-scale integrations.
