TL;DR

Senior Hardware Program Manager (IoT): Overseeing end-to-end program management for connected products within the security and water business units with an accent on NPI (New Product Introduction) and cross-functional leadership. Focus on driving product development roadmaps, managing project financials, and ensuring speed-to-market while maintaining high standards for cost, quality, and technical execution.

Location: Must be based in or able to work from Deerfield, IL or San Francisco, CA offices (Hybrid: Remote Mondays and Fridays)

Salary: $90,000 - $143,000 USD

What you will do

  • Lead cross-functional business and engineering teams through platform projects from inception to completion.
  • Manage product development and supply chain activities, focusing on schedule, budget, and product cost.
  • Represent Global Product Development with internal and external stakeholders, including business units and suppliers.
  • Ensure programs launch on time and meet or exceed deliverables for safety, quality, and service.
  • Monitor project risks and develop mitigation strategies, conducting executive gate reviews.
  • Perform post-launch reviews to ensure targets are met and report on business profitability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience leading projects and programs in new product development.
  • Must be able to work in a hybrid environment in Deerfield, IL or San Francisco, CA.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Word, and Excel; SAP or Oracle experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of engineering principles like FMEA, DOE, QFD, and DFMA.
  • Experience with manufacturing processes such as injection molding, casting, and forging.
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 15% of the time.
