What you will do

• Design and implement scalable architectures for large time-series market and economic datasets.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines for ingesting, cleaning, and storing structured and unstructured data.
• Optimize data querying, storage formats, and indexing to enable efficient analysis.
• Manage and enhance database environments to ensure high performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with portfolio managers and traders to ensure data is actionable and aligned with commercial needs.
• Support the development of tools and datasets that directly impact trading strategies and PnL.

Requirements

• Recent degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Experience working on market modeling, quantitative research, or data-heavy projects.
• Strong understanding of time-series data structures, databases, and processing techniques.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python, including libraries such as pandas and NumPy.
• Must be based in London, UK for this onsite role.

Nice to have

• Prior exposure to a bank, trading house, hedge fund, or physical trading environment.
• Familiarity with time-series databases like kdb+, InfluxDB, or TimescaleDB.
• Knowledge of cloud-based data solutions such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong market interest or prior trading experience.
