What you will do

• Conduct as-is assessments of tax processes, controls, and governance across corporate, indirect, and employment taxes.
• Review the end-to-end tax compliance and reporting cycle, including VAT and withholding tax.
• Develop practical recommendations to improve tax processes, data quality, and SAO governance.
• Establish a framework for implementation, including process ownership and documentation standards.
• Provide technical oversight on SAO requirements and manage responses to HMRC queries and audits.
• Collaborate with finance, legal, HR, and external advisers to embed sustainable tax improvements.

Requirements

• Professionally qualified accountant or tax professional (ACA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent).
• Strong experience in corporate tax and/or indirect tax within industry or practice.
• Experience in tax reporting, compliance, and working with external auditors.
• Solid understanding of tax risk, controls, and governance requirements.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate complex tax matters to non-specialists.
• Must be based in or able to work in Greater London, United Kingdom.
