What you will do

• Design, develop, and optimize networking and security features for high-performance applications.
• Ensure compliance with federal certifications including FIPS, FedRAMP, Common Criteria, and SOC2.
• Create detailed technical design and functional specification documents.
• Implement unit testing and automation to maintain high quality across the system.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve system issues and innovate new features.
• Apply advanced software design principles to deliver scalable and resilient improvements to Zero Trust Security Services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in system engineering for high-performance networking.
• Expertise in Linux kernel-based networking (L2/L3) and stateful firewalls (iptables, netfilter).
• Proficiency in Go and Python programming languages.
• Deep knowledge of protocols such as VLANs, DHCP, DNS, SSL, DTLS, Quic, and IPsec.
• Must be based in or able to work in a hybrid capacity in San Jose, CA.

Nice to have

• Experience with Wireguard, GRE, L2VPN, and VRRP.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Advanced expertise in virtualization and security solutions.
