Salary: $167,300 – $209,100 USD

What you will do

• Design and maintain scalable services to support high-throughput laboratory activities.
• Develop backend applications and implement CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
• Optimize AWS cloud infrastructure for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with product managers and end-users to iterate on software requirements and deliverables.
• Monitor system performance and conduct root cause analysis to implement efficiency enhancements.
• Act as the technical lead and provide mentorship to junior engineers.

Requirements

• BS degree in Computer Science or a comparable program.
• 10+ years of full stack software development experience.
• Proficiency in TypeScript (preferred) or Python.
• Experience with messaging frameworks such as Kafka and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Strong knowledge of the SDLC, including build, configuration, change control, and deployment.
• Must be based in or able to commute to San Carlos, CA for regular lab visits.
