Senior UI Programmer (Gamedev)

TL;DR

Senior UI Programmer (C++/Unreal Engine): Developing core UI features and systemic hud widgets for Fortnite with an accent on generic modularization, performance optimization, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. Focus on integrating backend systems into the player experience and implementing complex interaction menus for a high-scale multiplayer ecosystem.

What you will do

• Envision, plan, and implement systemic UI features such as HUD widgets, markers, minimaps, and interaction menus.
• Write robust and maintainable C++ code with a focus on generic modularization.
• Optimize performance and resolve bugs in both new and legacy UI systems.
• Integrate backend systems to support and enhance the player experience.
• Collaborate with artists, designers, and backend developers to ensure UI meets aesthetic and functional goals.

Requirements

• Exceptional C++ programming skills.
• Experience developing game features across multiple platforms.
• Significant experience with online multiplayer games or real-time interactive technology.
• Must be based in the US (excluding CA, NY, and WA).
• Strong ability to deliver and respond to constructive feedback in a cross-discipline team.

Nice to have

• Unreal Engine development experience.
