What you will do

• Collaborate with art, design, and engine AI teams to create and iterate on gameplay AI features.
• Drive, build, and maintain core AI systems shared within the Fortnite AI ecosystem.
• Experiment with game design and make critical technical and algorithmic decisions.
• Optimize, debug, and maintain AI systems to ensure high-quality performance across all platforms.

Requirements

• Professional game development experience with a track record of shipping AAA titles containing AI systems.
• Deep experience with AI systems such as Behavior Trees, Finite State Machines, and Pathfinding.
• Excellent C++ skills specifically for developing gameplay mechanics and tools.
• Strong ability to articulate game design strengths and weaknesses.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities with minimal direction.

Nice to have

• Experience working on live service games.
