What you will do

• Manage the entire closing and funding process for moderately complex to complex commercial and church loans.
• Establish and monitor closing checklists to ensure all due diligence and documentation meet commitment requirements.
• Coordinate with internal and external legal counsel to resolve title, survey, and insurance issues.
• Oversee the construction loan closing and monthly draw process, including budget and lien waiver reviews.
• Provide coaching, guidance, and oversight to Loan Closing Specialists to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Identify and mitigate risks that could negatively impact loan funding.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, paralegal certification, or at least three years of relevant commercial mortgage or real estate experience.
• Strong working knowledge of commercial loan transaction documents and structures.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing deadlines.
• Must be able to work on-site in Minneapolis, MN a minimum of three days a week.
• Professional communication skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Five or more years of experience in commercial mortgage loan closing.
• Experience preparing or reviewing commercial loan documents.
• Working knowledge of commercial insurance concepts.
• Proficiency in Excel, Adobe, SharePoint, Enterprise!, and IBM Navigator.
