What you will do

• Lead and manage a 16-person nearshore data engineering execution pod.
• Drive delivery accountability, sprint planning, and coordination across distributed teams.
• Establish and enforce engineering best practices, code reviews, and quality controls.
• Manage AI-assisted development governance, including prompt engineering standards and code review processes.
• Track and improve engineering metrics such as cycle time, deployment frequency, and test coverage.
• Partner with architects and product stakeholders to align execution with business priorities.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering or related disciplines.
• 3+ years managing engineering teams of 10+ resources.
• Proven experience leading distributed or nearshore engineering organizations.
• Strong background in modern data engineering, ETL/ELT pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, Spark/PySpark, and CI/CD practices.
• Must be based in or able to work in St. Louis, MO, USA.

• Consulting or client-facing delivery experience.
