What you will do

• Review and interpret medical records, physician treatment plans, and outcomes to determine appropriate ICD-10 CM/CPT codes.
• Abstract medical and demographic data elements to satisfy statistical requests from the hospital and health system.
• Manage medical information and cash flow as it pertains to the unbilled coding report.
• Stay current with updates in ICD-10 CM/CPT guidelines through training and coding clinics.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Successful completion of coding courses in anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
• 1 year of experience in Hospital and/or Physician Coding.
• 1 year of experience coding major surgeries, observations, and/or E/Ms.
• Certification in RHIT, RHIA, CCS-P, CPC, COC, or CPC-A.
• Must be based in Pennsylvania (PA).
