What you will do

• Conduct telephone triage and clinical assessments using established guidelines and decision-support software.
• Provide clinically relevant health information to callers to support self-care or appropriate medical action.
• Accurately document all clinical notes and patient assessments in the computer system in a timely manner.
• Liaise with third parties, such as ambulance or police, in critical situations including suicidal callers or suspected abuse.
• Adhere to time utilization guidelines to ensure efficient service delivery to patients.

Requirements

• Active license and good standing as a Registered Nurse in the province of residence (Nova Scotia or PEI).
• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience (5 years preferred), preferably in acute care (ER, ICU, Med-Surg) or community health.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing school; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Fluency in English (oral and written) is required.
• Reliable wired high-speed internet connectivity and a private home office meeting company guidelines.
• Basic computer proficiency and keyboarding skills.
