What you will do

• Provide practical support, mentoring, and advocacy to help patients regain independence.
• Educate patients and their families on the nature of mental illness and addiction.
• Assist patients in setting recovery goals and sustaining participation in self-help groups.
• Implement wellness plans using tools like WRAP and teach problem-solving techniques.
• Connect patients with community resources and support vocational choices and housing.
• Collaborate with treatment teams to develop and refine recovery plans.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in behavioral health.
• High School degree or equivalent.
• Peer Recovery or Peer Recovery Coach certification is preferred.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and handle confidential information.
