What you will do
- Drive integrated medical and scientific communication strategies and publication planning for one or more accounts.
- Serve as a principal scientific contact for client stakeholders and clinical leads to align strategy with brand priorities.
- Oversee high-quality content across manuscripts, congress materials, and digital assets, ensuring stylistic consistency and accuracy.
- Lead and defend submissions in MLR systems and resolve scientific issues independently.
- Manage and mentor 3–5 direct reports, conducting performance evaluations and guiding career development.
- Provide scientific leadership during pitches and proposals, partnering on resourcing and scoping.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in a scientific or healthcare-related field (MSc, PhD, PharmD, MD) preferred.
- Must be based in the US or Canada.
- Approximately 5+ years of medical communications or medical writing experience, including account leadership.
- Approximately 1+ years of experience in people management and coaching.
- Expertise in scientific writing, data interpretation, and mastery of publication standards (AMA, GPP, ICMJE).
- Strong understanding of the clinical research and regulatory landscape, including MLR submissions.
