What you will do

• Drive integrated medical and scientific communication strategies and publication planning for one or more accounts.
• Serve as a principal scientific contact for client stakeholders and clinical leads to align strategy with brand priorities.
• Oversee high-quality content across manuscripts, congress materials, and digital assets, ensuring stylistic consistency and accuracy.
• Lead and defend submissions in MLR systems and resolve scientific issues independently.
• Manage and mentor 3–5 direct reports, conducting performance evaluations and guiding career development.
• Provide scientific leadership during pitches and proposals, partnering on resourcing and scoping.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in a scientific or healthcare-related field (MSc, PhD, PharmD, MD) preferred.
• Must be based in the US or Canada.
• Approximately 5+ years of medical communications or medical writing experience, including account leadership.
• Approximately 1+ years of experience in people management and coaching.
• Expertise in scientific writing, data interpretation, and mastery of publication standards (AMA, GPP, ICMJE).
• Strong understanding of the clinical research and regulatory landscape, including MLR submissions.
