What you will do

• Define and drive integrated medical and scientific communication strategies for large, high-complexity accounts.
• Serve as the principal scientific contact for client stakeholders and clinical leads, aligning strategy with brand priorities.
• Oversee high-quality content production across manuscripts, congress materials, and MLR-regulated assets.
• Manage and mentor a team of 3–5 direct reports, including writers and Associate Scientific Directors.
• Lead scientific discussions, workshops, and advisory boards, and contribute to business pitches and proposals.
• Optimize scientific workflows and ensure compliance with GPP, ICMJE, and PhRMA guidelines.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (MSc, PhD, PharmD, MD) in a scientific or healthcare-related field preferred.
• Approximately 6+ years of experience in medical communications or medical writing, including account leadership.
• Approximately 2+ years of experience in people management and coaching.
• Expertise in scientific writing, data interpretation, and mastery of publication standards.
• Must be based in the US or Canada.
• Ability to perform occasional overnight travel (up to 20%).
