Lead Mobile Engineer (iOS/Android): Own and drive the architecture, design, and delivery of native mobile applications for high-stakes digital assessments with an accent on security, performance, and scalability across diverse devices. Location: Remote (USA). Candidates near CB offices have option for hybrid (Tuesday and Wednesday in office). Authorization to work in the United States required. Occasional travel for business purposes.

Salary: $168,000–$183,000

What you will do

  • Own and drive architecture of native mobile applications for iOS and Android, defining modular boundaries and platform patterns
  • Design scalable, secure solutions leveraging native capabilities and cloud architectures on AWS, GCP, Azure
  • Lead integration of OS-level features like permissions, networking, and device controls for consistent behavior
  • Establish reusable frameworks, shared components, and engineering standards; prototype new capabilities
  • Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, resolve production issues, and drive CI/CD and DevOps practices
  • Influence mobile engineering strategy and stay ahead of trends in platforms and secure design

Requirements

  • 7-10+ years building hybrid or native mobile apps (iOS/Android)
  • Strong expertise in Swift (iOS) and Kotlin/Android SDK with platform internals
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of complex apps using modular, scalable patterns
  • Integrate OS-level and device capabilities; work across desktop ecosystems
  • Cloud-connected apps, CI/CD, automated testing, infrastructure as code
  • Application security, observability, mentoring, problem-solving, communication
  • Bachelor’s in computer science or related (preferred)

Nice to have

  • Experience with React, TypeScript, or modern web technologies
