What you will do

• Prepare quarterly tax estimates and federal filings, including Forms 1099 and 2290, for transportation clients.
• Assist with the preparation of individual and business tax returns, specifically Schedule C and S Corporations.
• Support clients with S Corporation formations and manage related compliance filings.
• Research federal and state tax matters specific to the transportation industry.
• Collaborate with the Transportation Tax team to ensure the timely completion of client engagements.
• Communicate directly with clients to gather necessary documentation and deliver completed tax work.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of accounting experience, preferably with a focus on tax.
• Location: Must be based in Springfield, MO.
• Ability to pass a CJIS background check.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Nice to have

• CPA certification.
• Experience with QuickBooks (Desktop & Online), UltraTax, and AdvanceFlow.
