What you will do

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, conducting code reviews and fostering a culture of engineering excellence.
• Define the technical strategy and roadmap for production-facing and studio management tooling.
• Own the technical architecture and UX of the Production Tools ecosystem, including ShotGrid integrations and Python-based automations.
• Collaborate with other Platform Engineering leads (Backend, Core, Dev-Ops) to align on shared services, APIs, and infrastructure.
• Translate production needs into clear technical plans and present proposals to Studio Leadership and stakeholders.
• Champion a fast, responsive support culture to resolve issues effectively in a demanding, deadline-driven environment.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience supporting production tools and workflows in a production environment.
• 2+ years of experience with ShotGrid use and development.
• Senior-level proficiency in Python for pipeline tool development, writing maintainable and well-tested code.
• Ability to analyze complex production pipelines, identify bottlenecks, and design scalable solutions.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures within studio tooling.
• Experience in stakeholder management and translating technical details into actionable reports and plans.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with web development using React.
