TL;DR

Intern, Product Sustainability: Supporting the development and analysis of chassis lifecycle strategies and sustainability criteria for electric vehicles with an accent on CO₂e modelling, circularity, and recyclability initiatives. Focus on applying Life Cycle Assessment knowledge and data analysis to understand cradle-to-grave product impact.

Location: Requires a commitment of 4 days in-office per week at our facility in Garden Grove, CA. A $1,000 relocation stipend is available for interns residing more than 50 miles from Garden Grove, CA. Work authorized in the United States OR ability to obtain J-1/F-1 visa is required.

Compensation: $4,000-$5,600 USD per month.

What you will do

Support chassis lifecycle strategies development, analysis, and implementation.
Collaborate cross-functionally to identify opportunities in product definition and procurement.
Perform CO₂e modelling to support circularity & recyclability initiatives.
Assist in developing sustainability criteria at the vehicle level.
Monitor technical and business trends associated with End-of-Life EV markets.

Requirements

Enrolled in Bachelor’s degree program or greater in any STEM field.
Work authorized in the United States OR ability to obtain J-1/F-1 visa.
Knowledge of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and cradle-to-grave product analysis.
Understanding of sustainability metrics & reporting, and data analysis.
Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with data visualization tools.
Basic knowledge of materials science, including sustainable materials, recyclability, and toxicity.

Nice to have

Experience with ESG frameworks or GHG Protocol.
