What you will do
- Own features from design, implementation, review, testing, rollout, and monitoring.
- Produce design documentation for changes and present to the team.
- Contribute to platform, architecture, and data model decisions with cross-functional teams.
- Work on reliability and scalability improvements.
- Write and maintain concise documentation (READMEs, design docs, API docs, runbooks).
- Present technical proposals and demo features to stakeholders.
- Improve engineering culture and processes through tech talks and promoting best practices.
- Advocate for and help implement improvements to CI/CD, monitoring, and deployment practices.
Requirements
- 2+ years building backend services with Node.js, Express and TypeScript.
- Autonomy and leadership to carry a project through execution.
- Collaborative attitude and comfortable working in agile teams.
- Experience designing and developing distributed systems (secure, scalable, reliable).
- Hands-on experience with message systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka, SQS) and data stores (MongoDB, Redis, MySQL).
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, AWS, and production observability.
