TL;DR

Senior Backend Software Engineer (Go/Python): Extending, optimizing, and supporting existing software solutions in the financial markets with an accent on highly reliable, low-latency, and high-load computing. Focus on researching and innovating new ideas, developing microservices, and leading the entire application development life cycle.

Location: This position is hybrid and requires working from the offices in Cyprus. Relocation support to Cyprus is provided.

Salary: €4,800/month net

What you will do

  • Develop, test, and maintain microservices using Go and Python.
  • Participate in architectural discussions and code reviews.
  • Integrate with and assist other teams in integrating with services.
  • Lead the entire application/service development life cycle from concept to post-launch support.
  • Effectively convey task progress, evaluations, suggestions, and schedules.

Requirements

  • Senior knowledge in Golang and at least 4-5 years of software development experience.
  • Commercial experience with Python.
  • Strong expertise in SQL (being able to EXPLAIN and ANALYZE).
  • Good grasp of Kubernetes and experience with Git.
  • Understanding of Kafka's basic concepts and usage.
  • Previous experience with REST API and microservice architecture.
  • Ability to use C1/C2 Advanced/Fluent English for work and business purposes.
  • Must be based in Cyprus or be willing to relocate to Cyprus.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with Kafka Connect.
  • Experience with ClickHouse, MongoDB, and Temporal.
