What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and clean code systems across the product ecosystem.
• Improve and evolve backend foundations, including service architecture, messaging/event flows, and data reliability.
• Participate in system design, architecture discussions, and scaling strategies for robust and observable systems.
• Prototype, iterate, and ship improvements rapidly, then harden successful solutions.
• Use and evangelize AI-assisted workflows to increase team velocity and quality.
• Own work end-to-end from ideation through execution, deployment, and monitoring.

Requirements

• ~5 years of professional engineering experience with a strong portfolio of shipped projects.
• Experience building and operating backend systems where correctness, performance, and reliability are critical.
• Proficiency with systems/performance-oriented languages in production (e.g., Go, Rust, C#, C++ or similar).
• Ability to design how components fit together, including service boundaries, communication patterns, and pragmatic scaling.
• Practical experience using AI tooling in day-to-day engineering for coding, debugging, automation, and system design.
• Strong experience with Postgres (migrations, indexing, performance) and familiarity with Redis and caching patterns.
• Expertise in designing and operating APIs and real-time delivery systems (e.g., WebSockets) capable of handling spikes and sustained load.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with DevOps practices like deployments, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure.
• Ability to contribute to modern web frontend stacks when necessary.
• Experience with Web3 technologies (Solidity/EVM/Sui/Solana).
• Deep experience with real-time systems, trading-style systems, or high-throughput event pipelines.
• Experience building AI-powered features or integrations beyond using AI tools (e.g., production LLM features).
