TL;DR

Assistant General Counsel (AI): Leads hirify.global's commercial legal team, focusing on negotiating complex enterprise B2B transactions and leveraging legal technology for operational excellence. Focus on AI-related contracting, data protection, privacy, and standardizing commercial processes with AI automation.

Location: Hybrid, based at our San Francisco headquarters. Must be authorized to work in the US.

Salary: $230,000.00–$300,000.00

What you will do

  • Partner with Sales, Partnership, and Procurement teams to lead and close complex, high-value enterprise B2B transactions.
  • Serve as an authority on AI-related contracting terms, including data protection, privacy, and security.
  • Design and implement scalable commercial processes by automating legal workflows within hirify.global.
  • Partner with Sales and Finance leadership on forecasting and legal capacity planning.
  • Represent hirify.global as a thought leader and "Legal Tech Evangelist" at industry conferences and events.
  • Lead, mentor, and build a world-class commercial legal team.

Requirements

  • JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership is required.
  • 12+ years of legal experience, ideally a mix of top-tier firm and high-growth SaaS in-house, managing sophisticated commercial transactions.
  • Prior management experience is required.
  • Proven ability to balance rigorous legal protection with commercial needs for speed.
  • Deep intellectual curiosity regarding AI, data protection, and privacy, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear contract language.
  • Proven ability to lead and project manage cross-functional, strategic initiatives.
