What you will do

• Lead validation and prototyping of an on-premise in-store solution ensuring offline functionality and high performance.
• Design and build local offline-capable backend instances for retail environments.
• Own synchronization and reconciliation mechanisms for seamless cloud integration.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and product managers to scope and validate architecture.
• Prototype quickly and deliver working proofs-of-concept for enterprise retailers.
• Work across backend and infrastructure domains including Kubernetes and distributed systems.

Requirements

• Location: Must be able to work onsite in Berlin, Germany
• 5+ years of backend engineering experience, preferably with Go.
• Strong Kubernetes and DevOps expertise with distributed systems experience.
• Excellent communication and agile adaptability.
• Experience with on-premise or hybrid software deployments.
