Go Engineer (Gaming)

TL;DR

Location: Remote, or onsite in Paphos or Tbilisi. Relocation to Cyprus or Georgia is supported.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain high-load Go backend services, ensuring product quality and making technical decisions.
• Architect scalable solutions and maintain high-performance gRPC APIs.
• Write unit tests in Go and integration tests using Python.
• Manage services in Kubernetes using Helm and leverage Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Collaborate with Game Design, Data Analytics, Client Developers, QA/Load Testing, and DevOps teams.
• Participate in team rituals and contribute to continuous improvement of the development culture.

Requirements

• 3+ years of commercial experience in backend development.
• Strong proficiency in Go programming language.
• Experience in designing and implementing APIs (preferably with gRPC).
• Solid experience with SQL databases (specifically PostgreSQL).
• Practical experience with Kubernetes and Helm for deploying and managing services.
• Understanding of testing methodologies and ability to write integration tests in Python.

Nice to have

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proficiency in Python beyond basic testing.
• Background in the gaming industry or passion for games.
• Experience with NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of high-load system patterns and network protocols.
