What you will do

• Examine braille documents for accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
• Identify and correct errors in formatting, spelling, punctuation, and braille code usage.
• Collaborate with braille transcribers, application developers and production staff to resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of braille standards and best practices.
• Prepare reports and feedback on proofing outcomes.

Requirements

• Proficiency in braille reading and writing.
• Experience with assistive technology such as screen readers and refreshable braille displays.
• Must be based in Potsdam, New York for onsite work.
• High School Diploma.
• Willingness to work toward obtaining braille transcription certification if not already certified.
